putting objects on a path

how can i put a repeating object on a path. for example, let's say i have a star-shaped object that i drew, and i would like to make it repeat along a circular path...basically to make a circle out of a bunch of stars. how would i do that?

It is not as difficult as it may sound....here's how you do it.

1. Create the object you would like to have on the path....you mentioned a star before....so create a star.

2. On your Brushes Palette, click on the pull down arrow and click on New Brush option.

3. When prompted select New Scatter Brush...either keep the default settings or expirement with them.

4. Once you are finished, click OK ....the brush will be added to the palette

5. Select your path, whatever it may be, the click on the brush you just made in the palette.

Sounds like a lot, but it isn't .....it really shouldn't take anytime to do this.

Hope this helps.
