Issues with brush settings

Ok, so I'm sort of at the end of my rope in the 'figuring this out' process. I've looked at the adobe help, and at various websites, but I've yet to figure out what my problem is. Also, I have the cs2 version of Adobe Photoshop.

The problem is that I can't set the opacity or size to be pen pressure sensitive for a tablet. The tablet itself is working fine, but the problem is that when I select 'pen pressure' on the 'shape dynamics'...nothing happens to the shape. It still remains the way it would look if I'd selected 'off' on control. You can see what I mean in this image:

The same thing happens when I try to set the opacity flow in the 'other dynamics' section. When I set it to 'pen pressure', the shape of the brush doesn't even change:

So, after trying to figure this out on my own for awhile, I've come to figure that it's not a problem with my tablet. Can anyone offer any advice on what this problem may be?

See those warning icons with the exclamation points (!) next to the drop downs? Check if they offer any insight.
