Hidden buttons on MC

Skip intro.
Select interior design on right side.
Then select a thumbnail on lower left, when they load.
It loads a slideshow. If yoou rollover the MC you will see buttons appear on it.
I am trying that effect.
I have tried this for a few days.
when you rollover the mc you get the pointer, not hand. So it appears they use the useHandCursor = false; method.
How do i place the mc and button in timeline?
How do i script the stop button.
