abstract images help/tutorials please

basically these abstract images that look like they are exploding, are amazing, they are so detailed and busy something just clicks for me, so ive done them before just very very simple ones
i just want to know if any one has any tips on making them look busy any rules etc. plus any tutorials, or help in general is welcome.

x-plosion.

it is not as easy as it might seem, cause it´s the combination of various styles and techniques.

maybe you should have a closer look and try to find out what the specific components are, like:
grunge-techniques, circles filled with gradients and so on.

the answer(s) would be quite long and maybe you should check out sites like this.

in your case the approach is the wrong way round: before you try to build pieces like this, try to get further with learning the essentials, because you might notice that asking these questions is no longer necessary then. learn, combine, create, redefine!

but please don´t hesitate to ask further.

to not leave you without anything:

- grunge tutorial
- basic scan lines tut
- spoonoÃ'´s interface orbs tut

once ryan ford had a very good guideline about which colors to use a.s.o. - maybo youÃ'´ll check his site out, i got very good thoughts from this graphic artist.
