I've not been able to fix it so far - not sure why in the world something like that would happen. I suspect mod_rewrite and/or a number of particular lines throughout a number of potential php files might be at the root of it (and only are showing up now due to some difference in the server configuration).... or there might be some less-obvious element of the server configuration I'm missing altogether. Anyhow - if possible, I will fix it... though I'm not going to waste "too" much time on it (already wasted hours getting nowhere). Right now I'm moving ahead full steam on getting the Drupal version of NS, ready or not, released - so that we can put this all behind us and move forward. Edit: on the bright side, MySQL works soooo much better on this server. For some unknown reason on the old server it would continuously lock up 100% of one of the CPUs. ___________________ -- Dave

The system does know the correct address to the new page (it's written in the URLs linking the thumbnails to the full studio entry) but for some reason it gets intercepted and changed to the /entry/0/ thing. Edit: I'm going to switch off mod_rewrite for a moment today and try it (which will break NS for a few minutes)... will see if that's the culprit or if it's something in the PHP doing it. Edit 2: well that didn't help. The PHP seems to write the "expected" paths on its own, and mod_rewrite just makes it work - with mod_rewrite off it still gives me the same paths, just they don't work. I don't know how to access the pages with non-rewritten URLs (e.g. ?something&id=1234) ___________________ -- Dave

Thanks for the heads up. I'll go compare the files for his entry to the others and see if I can spot any clues. It "does" correctly generate all the required files (thumbnails, previews, etc)... just doesn't work "usually". http://studio.neverside.com/entry/1680/ Edit: no luck - every aspect of the files are identical to those that don't work. Same permissions, same group/owner, same range of file size and dimensions... nothing out of place. I'm going to check if maybe there's something special about the entry itself.. such as certain fields filled in, checked, etc. Edit again: Checked the database tables... there's nothing special there either. The one and only thing that is different is that his file's original name was 20.jpg (all numbers) while the others all had letters in the name. Guess I'll try another test submission with just numbers this time and see if that works. Edit: And.... nope. ___________________ -- Dave
