Website layout how to improve?

I want to know how I can improve on this layout. The buttons dont seem to fit with the overall theme. What can I do? Of course any other thoughts u may have are welcome. I have to say I'm not a designer. Am more of a coder who trying to be designer but it aint working lol.

Maybe make it so the buttons look like part of the background.

I don't see a layout. I see a button that says "Add user". pff

take a piece of paper and start drawing how you want that your layout should look like
which elements and where you want them.

there is not much to improve to just a single button. make your whole layout and start improving the elements you don't like.

I think the most constructive thing to say is: "Don't open Photoshop and hope it'll come right out of the tips of your fingers!" The way I think is a good way to start a new project, is to think about what you want, what you really don't want, what you need, what you don't need and what special features or add-ins it might require, maybe even a rough draft on paper of the locations of the buttons, or a drawing that you want in the background, or just a mock-up of everything that's in your head to see whether or not all ideas are satisfiable and/or possible. Not all of the previous are required, but can help when you're stuck with something! Wink
