Since you're already making it super wide...maybe you could delete the "go back and pick sub category" and actually list the tutorials in that spot instead of having them load at the bottom.

For a tutorial site....you're site is VERY Frontpage. You're basically copying good-tutorials.com here. At least make it look hot.

Lay off the gradients to be honest. Gradients are fine in general, but repetitive use of the same style on multiple elements just kill the eyes. The random change in contrast also hurts teh eyes, look into colouring and scheming effectively. Also, please tell me you are going to be doing something with the sidebar on the right. If not, remove it, it has no appeal to the design or the functionality. And well yes, as Rider said, it's basically the same thing as the hundred other tutorial portals out there.
