CS 1.6 Server?

We've talked about it in the past on occasion, but now I have the money and am willing to spend $25-30/month on a server for NS. Anyone else interested in pitching in? I figure with just 1 or 2 people other than myself we ought to be able to get our own server going. All we'd need to start would be a 16 person server, and if it grew we could always add more slots.

Anyone else interested? I have the cash in my bankaccount and would have no problem transfering it to Paypal and sending it out to get something rolling within the next couple of weeks or so. Of course, the sooner the better.

Either way, I'm going to start looking about and checking on the server prices. Anyone know of any good CS1.6 hosting places that accept paypal and who hopefully have some decent rates?

I manage a few CS 1.6 servers if y'all want somewhere to hang out. One of em called {Milds} is my main CS clan, and the server is 24/7 Assault, however we do go to surf maps or just whatever we feel like from time to time. It's less of cal type gameplay and more of a community type feel. We usually have a full server and get probably 10k people monthly. The other server I've got admin in in Faylo's Night Haven which is mostly surf maps. Another server which I completely manage is down right now due to financial woes.

Anyway, if you are looking to start a server, nuclearfallout probably has the best and easiest setup along with a pretty simple control panel to change/update settings. Unfortunately I wouldn't be able to pitch in as I am unemployed, however, I have the alternatives if ya want. Try to stay away from clanservers though as I've experienced too many problems with them as of recent.

I'm banned from Milds, or at least I was. I called one of the kiddie admins a stat padding moron because he was playing CT and had been for the last 15 rounds and was talking a shyteload of trash. (He even accidently hit autoassign and was auto'd to T a few different times, but he'd spec and then join CT asap.) But that was like 6 months ago, heh.

Anyhow, yeah I had planned on going nuclearfallout but wanted to consider other options due to the fact that a WestCoast server might not be best for our entire memberbase. But since no one else seems too interested... I'll just end up getting one on my own, heh.

But now I must go get on .50 Cal, AWOL or one of my other haunts. I should have bought a new mouse today... My old '01 HP ballmouse that is stained from the sweat of my hand and has the plastic coloring worn off on the buttons is starting to get me killed. Anyhow, off to plant a bomb/save a hostage.

i was in CAL in 1.6 in source, and had admin in a server in each.

recently i been thinking of starting a multi-gaming clan. i think we should all get down and do it. i dunno i know it seems like a hard thing to do but i think it could be really fun. we could come up with a name and everything.

My Blog

Seems like a good idea to me. As soon as I finish putting a new engine in my car (An expensive exercise) I'll be building a new gaming machine and will be playing all of those games, except maybe CS:S. I perfer 1.6 over Source... Go figure.

Of course the major problem I have with most clans is that they're about skill and not having fun. I just dislike the elitist attitude that a lot of clans seem to have. To me a clan is about playing a game and having fun with friends, not about trying to kick ***. Of course, kicking *** is nice too, but shouldn't be a priority.
