If you even READ that thread, you would know that CD's had nothing to do with any of it, a couple users just happened to want one AFTER i posted the idea of people contributing logo ideas, I wasn't OFFERING to trade a CD for work, It explicitly said "I can't guarantee any sort of pay, I don't make much money"

but of course, you'll probably come back with some other buzz quote that is supposed to justify your reasoning, but the fact of the matter is, that I am right about this. Sorry, I'm going to be the *** here, but this is a terrible way to manage a community. This is a DESIGN/ART community, most of us do this sort of thing for a living, so we should be allowed to ask for favors without keeping it a forbidden neverside secret.

Oh, and I'm not going to be able to PM that person because the thread was deleted before I even got to read it. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELPFULNESS!

Oh, and this will be my final goodbye, I really don't see any need in supporting this place, and I'll make sure to spread the word about how rediculous it has become here.

Dave explicitly said that to post market threads you need his confirmation. The right way to do this is to ask Dave for permission first...

I'm not trying to argue, but where does it say Dave has to be asked first? I probably broke a rule by asking that if it's stickied or something. The same thing that happened here happened to my 35mm camera sale thread, and I didn't get a PM until I bothered Sykil about it.

I've done nothing but be consistent with my moderation, and I come under fire most often because---no offense to the other moderators---I do the most moderation. I'm usually the first one to issue warnings, close threads, move threads, or what have you (which speaks volumes about my social life). Of the 16 warnings in the Mod CP right now, only one of them was not issued or approved by me. In fact, I'm probably the only one who has banned a user since Locke was in charge. That's not bragging; in fact, I wish I didn't have to give out warnings and bannings. They're certainly not based on my own opinions; they're based on rules.

I've been here a while. I know how we've done things in the past, and that's how I do things now. If there was a rule change, if Dave wanted something done differently, or if the staff agreed on something different, we'd (and I'd) do something differently. But until that day, this is how it goes. There was nothing out of the ordinary about my moving the thread; as you can see, Simon caught it and brought it to my attention. Since Simon is a former staff member and knows how these things go, you can see that this was by the book---not just me doing what I want.

orkeau was only doing it based on the offering of a free CD; he even stated in his thread on this same subject that he wanted the CD. If you want to contact him, that's his handle. PM him. You could have just asked me for that in the first place; I wasn't trying to be unhelpful. I was just doing my job.

If you want to post another thread that's free of any such exchanges, I have absolutely no problem with that; in fact, I encourage it.

If you're really leaving because of this, I'm sorry to hear that, but good luck in your future ventures.
