Help on line art in Photoshop.
Hello guys, I could really use your help. I'm attempting to create a logo for a website I plan to launch here in the upcoming months. I'm designing the logo and having some trouble. The logo consist of a Centurion helmet and I drew the shape with the pen tool. However, I've tried to stroke the outside of the different parts of the helmet and it comes out extremely crappy and not solid.
Here is an example:

Lastly, should I be using Photoshop to try and design a logo with lots of lines in it? I heard that Illustrator would be a better program to use because it allows for more smooth lines than Photoshop. The only problem is I know absolutely nothing on how to operate Illustrator.
Any ideas on how to clean up the stroke on the above image?

Your image didn't link right, fyi :X
But I can also stamp a recommendation on tackling this with Illustrator. It's made for line art logo-y scalable vector things. It uses Bezier curves like PS's Pen tool does, the transition shouldn't be too difficult. Whereas Photoshop natively tackles pixely things, Illustrator was built for stuff like this.
:mumbles something about knowing a guy who knows a guy who could get you a good deal on a copy of Illustrator...: Give it a whirl. http://www.adobe.com/illustrator

Sorry, I am a member of another forum which uses a image hosting website. But that's a no-no, my apologies.
I'll just add it as an attachment, which I should have done from the beginning.
Right, I've heard that is what Illustrator is better for. But, I havn't the slightest idea on how to work my way around Illustrator. I guess I'll have to give a few tutorials a try :[
