Yes, a very caring person, imo. One who thought of my reputation. A big thank you to that person. And that's no Lie!

I was thinking of this, and the only thing I could think about is:

To thine own self be true.

I don't know if its something that comes with age, but when i was 16, 17, 18, yeah, I tried to be cooler and such and such. But now, it's too much effort. And the things I guess kids have to hide to not get made fun of (like that I can and will put mustard on almost anything) doesn't matter anymore. I have a feeling a lot of this 'facade' talk will change with time, well, for most people at least, some just never get past that.

But do try to remember that, be true to yourself, it's too much effort to try to protect yourself. Find the group of friends that'll laugh with you, not at you.

Facade. The thing that covers every single thing in existence. From buildings to your nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters. There is no getting away from it. People use it on a daily basis and most don't realize they are doing it. No matter where I end up, I make a strong effort to present the real me (whatever/whoever that is) to anyone I come in contact with. But that in itself is too much effort. Just live. That is all you can do in today's world. Just live. You'll present a new and different face to certain people all your life. No getting away from it.

So you can stow the talk about how people act, because it will do no good and no harm. you're not going to change the world but posting on an internet forum about the way the world acts. Just get over it and live.

Alright, here's a bit of info as to why I started this topic...

A few days ago, I got a call from a guy at work that I'm friends with... he's never called me, even though I gave him my number over a month ago. We talked for about 3 hours and found out that each of us was very much alike and neither of us knew it. We had both put up a facade for each other and everyone around us that we had no idea what we really were until that conversation. I realized then that I probably know very very little about anyone, even people I've known my whole life. And the same goes with others to me.
