Agreed. Leave NeverAPI alone, get someone to work on it, develop it and fix it. Pull your socks up NS, it's dying.
Edit: AbsoluteCross I have PM'd you, offering my technical PHP and general coding expertise. I have offered advice and generally an offer to work for free that nobody would normally refuse. I never heard a reply so I can only assume that you have made the executive decision to let this community die.

I'm sorry but the only case I personally would support yet another switch between systems powering this community would be if it's as good as foolproof and the gain (actual gain, for the community and staff) on doing so is obvious. Putting aside the fact that there is a great risk of more member-dropouts it's also very complicated to move a community of this size and it's content to other systems.
As a final remark:
<digg>
If this community moves to Drupal I will officially stop supporting it with my awesomeness causing a terrible loss and most likely the beginning of the end for this nest of developers and designers. This has been Simon speaking, and everyone knows that I'm the only one who ever is correct around here. My part of this community will cause the e-suicide of millions. Think over this wisely before you make up your mind.

You've got to face the facts though, as much as I don't want NS to die.

I apologize for not getting back to you ringpull - my mind's been in a million different directions for the last few months. Once the decision was made to make the change in the system, my priorities changed substantially, and as I mentioned, I began putting my efforts into figuring out how to build a system that I myself could understand, support, and expand. In addition, something with the broad community support of both Drupal and vBulletin is something very important to me.
I also sometimes forget what comments I have made in the Private forum and what I have said in public, and sometimes wrongly assume people know things.
Anyhow, it's a little too soon to show it off, but http://www.neverdev.com is up and running. I'll make it public as soon as possible. Also, I hired Jeremie the other day for a paid project to prepare a NeverAPI-to-vBulletin conversion script, and supervise the process when the time comes.
If you are still at all interested (ringpull) you and I should chat on AIM within the next few days to figure out how you can get involved in the development. I do need help for sure haha.
:::Edit:::
Forgot.... I posted some examples of Drupal-powered sites the other day in Private to show staff, thought I'd share some of them here:

Heh, apology accepted
You can add me on MSN (address in my profile) if you use it. I don't use AIM, however if you use IRC that might be a good idea. Let me know of a suitable time, maybe email me or something

@topic:
I definitely put my stuff on NS to get an audience response. One of my photos has 25 or something views and not one comment >_>
I want to know what people think

Ventrillo would be a good server as talking aloud is much more efficient than typing. I don't host any vent servers, but I've got a couple my friends wouldn't mind letting ya use. PM me for details.

As a frequent visitor of this fantastic gallery, i find some images quite boring, example the front page of studio this week, with all those green photos, gees, i can only comment on the same type of images for so long before I wonder what the person is trying to express, no offense, i commented on a few of them i thought were pretty neat. Many images are way old and the people who posted them dont even come around here anymore so whos gonna see the comments anyway. People will only comment on what they see as a great image.

That's the reason why the Studio was supposed to have a feature enabeling submiters to post "collections" rather than a lot of photos in a series piece by piece like they do right now. It's indeed not a good thing to see an entire collection of "Within my mind, Dusty spring 2007, trendwhorenamehere".
