Hey how would you create a bcckground like the one here

Hey... My cousin showed me a sig he made and i really like how he made the background. If anyone knows how to create the kind of background in this sig, like with all the designs and stuff, please tell =]

The reflection (echo) is easy; just Copy/Paste that guy to a new layer, enlarge him (Edit -> Transform -> Scale) and knock the Layer's Opacity (Layers pallette) down to 40%ish.

As for the background, damn hah it's so busy it's hard to pin anything. Clouds and paintbrush and any garbage you feel like pasting? :X ask your cousin, he could give you more specific info.

I'm not sure how your cousin did it, but perhaps one way you could get something like that is to get another image with a lot of detail (like from http://sxc.hu). For example, like these: http://www.sxc.hu/browse.phtml?f=search&txt=tractor&w=1&x=0&y=0. That image could be resized and transformed anyway, desaturated, and guassian blurred. I would duplicate that layer and set it to a much lower opacity and play around with the levels to increase the contrast - maybe play around with the blending too. On top of that, I would think there was a layer of yellow with overlay blending and maybe opacity reduction. The little sharp yellow "sparks" are probably from grunge brush sets.

Here's what I got after playing around with this image http://www.sxc.hu/photo/581025 and this image http://www.sxc.hu/photo/576199 - I know it's more than the instructions I gave, but really, there's no "set" direction on achieving anything. You just play around Smile Hope that helps.

I wanna say that fractals were used a tiny tiny bit in this or little 3D. Yes, PS can do this but I'm not too sure on how they achieved it. I'll play around with some things if I find the time. The yellow was the top most layer set to screen and the opacity lowered a bit.

As for the "reflection", do what sparky said. Just lower the opacity, move up and away and enlarge it to your desired size.
