Hey wow, that looks really nice, my only suggestions is that probably because you had 800*600 screens in mind, that for the front page, you should have the whole body of the site in the middle in respect to the vertical position.

I think you should make a small group of buttons on the bottom right or top left to change the colors of the header or the theme of the whole page.
