Hello everyone.. Im new to the site and to photoshop.. Im wanting to create a logo from a template I got online from a bud of mine..

I cant seem to figure out how to remove the text/replace it with keeping the same background.. To boot.. If anyone has a neat idea on how to make KL-Motorsports look in place of this.. That would be very helpful..

Here is the logo..

Any tips and suggestions will be greatly apperciated Grin

You should've gotten a PSD file so that you can just edit in your own names, save as JPGs and enjoy your gorgeous, custom site.

Anyway, to get rid of the text, just take a 1px wide sample to the left of the text (a bit taller than the name and web address) then do Edit->Transform->Scale, then stretch it horizontally over top of everything. Deselect, and you'll see a nice smooth gradient where your text was. This technique is called pixel stretching; check Google if you need some more help.

After that, just create a new layer, type your text and add a little Outer Glow. Bada-bing.

You know what I'll do?
I dont know it thats what sprky did, kinda hard to get...
I think its the same though, more detailed

1. select with the rectangle tool a piece of the emptry part, where there is no text, from up to the buttom.
2. press Ctrl+c to Copy
3. press Ctrl+v to paste, and it will give u a new layer
4. press on that new layer u made and then ctrl+t to free transfirm
5.and now just move it all the way to the left side so it will cover the whole text part

hope it helped u.....
hope i could help more

Say there is a picture with writing over it. How do you remove the writing without ruining the picture??
