Photoshop CD 2 Animation - Need Help

I am trying to animate a blood drop that is part of a text block, so that it seems to fall off the word and drip down. I can select and move the droplet from the text, but when I try to animate it, the tweening doesn't work. Any thoughts?

is the blood drop in its own layer, cause it can't animate half a layer. I presume u'r using imageready, right?
