now that we got the fact down that a dog isn't up to par with a family member, lets jott down that a dog shouldn't be an item you need to 'cope' with once it's gone.
and yes, i called a dog an item, thats all it is, just like a car.
Cars don't wait by the door for you when you're gone. Cars don't greet you frolicsomely when you come home. Cars don't climb into bed with you when its cold or otherwise. I don't think cars are good substitutes.
I'd hate to have to leave my chihuahua. :\ I hope you can work something out, Jordan, for your dog and yourself.

the testosterone level in this thread is so low
well when a dog is locked up in a house for 8 hours while your at work theres no reason for it to wait near the door, hell... maybe it wants to run away...

From free food and shelter? I like those circumstances.
Also, the cool card doesn't validate any of your points; cut the pretense.

I can't even imagine how you feel, Jordan. I'm lucky to have parents that are unwilling to compromise as far as animals are concerned. They've always been willing to go the extra mile, spend the extra dollar, so as to keep our FAMILY whole. My mom especially would no sooner get rid of Chico (our chihuahua) than get rid of me. He's a very important part of our lives and I couldn't imagine having to part with him. Same with Leo, our cat. They're members of our family, just a different kind.
That being said, I really hope you can find a way to hold on to your dog. If you can't, I hope you can find her a new home where you'll be able to visit her regularly. Many people are flexible about this, since they know how hard it is to lose a pet. Hang in there.

Thank you.
As I said in my first post, she will take our cat mainly because he stays inside and so other people will not have to deal with him. The woman is very strict about what people can and cannot do outside... Which is the main reason why the place is so damn quiet and peaceful.
Hopefully I will find a kind family to adopt Belle Amie (French for Beautiful Friend)...

I couldn't part from a pet. I'd say go **** yourself, and live somewhere else. If they wanted my business that bad, they'd let me keep my dog or pet there. That's what it'd come down to. My pets are a part of my family. They're not just pets.
