How to cope
Welllll now that I am living with my dad again, he has to decided to upgrade from his current apartment to a large town house. I'm really stoked, and the woman has even allowed us to keep my cat for a couple hundred extra dollars. However, she will not allow my dog Belle Amie. She's small, quiet, and doesn't shed... But will still not allow her.
I am slowly starting to face the fact that I am going to have to get rid of her, but every time I think about it just real depressed and cry.. a lot. (I'm not being emo, so **** off Noel).
My question is, how the **** do I cope with something like this? This dog is such a major part of my life.. She has literally fallen asleep with me in my arms for the last three years or so. I feel like if I surround myself with enough things, I will be preoccupied (distracted?) and not think about her. But what if that doesn't work?
Ps. Sorry if there are any typos and/or grammar mistakes. It's 1:43 in the morning and I'm super tired.

Lookup local laws on Tenant/Land lord contracts.
There are area's where it is against the law for a landlord to tell a tenant or potential tenant that they cannot possess an animal.
Most people ignore the fact though, under the belief that there will be another nice apartment they want to rent. Look it up, see if you uncover anything. It's the least you can do for the dog.

Wow, thanks!! I found http://www.tenant.net/Rights/pets.html but it only mentions New York City and Westchester County... Any idea if there is a website listing all the areas that have this?

Lowel, is that what your mom said when she gave you away to the poopsmith? ~_^
Seriously though, a dog shouldn't be treated like an object. It's a living, caring, and most of all loving creature. It's a friend for life indeed, I'd personally do anything but letting go of the dog. If no other option opens up, and if laws like such doesn't cut it in your area for some dumb reason. At least have a friend or family member who you can visit daily take care of it for you. As long as you can give it a worthy place to live, that option should work, if even for just a while.
Let's ban coolaid from life, he's just a member. ^.^

Jordan... as sure as I am that you'd love me to **** you, I'd appreciate it if you refrained from comments like that. I mean, if I really wanted to type out my reaction to your post, it'd be something like the following:
Jordan is a little emo pussy fuckface with no life. I mean, who the **** cries about a god damn dog? It's a dog, for ****'s sake. Grow up, you little wanker. I hope you cut yourself so hard you end up permanently damaging the muscles and nerves in your arm so you can no longer move it. Fucker.
... but of course, I would never say anything like that.
Or wait, it looks like I just did.
