My dad's side can be traced back to the 1300s. Apparently our family was German royalty at that time. Don't know any further details though as I've never bothered researching it. We sure aren't royalty anymore, that's for sure.

How do you like it?
Well I hated it where I was before, but that?s because of location. Many service members consider the place where I was before to be the ?armpit of Japan?. But where I am now, (Okinawa) it?s much better. It has a lot more room, more of an American feel to it and it?s an island! (I love living near the ocean). But uh it has it?s down sides too though, most Japanese people are very nice and very gullible too, but every now and then you run into someone who won?t like you because you are American, no big deal though they just kind of give you a look and move on.
Then there are the common ills of living in a country that doesn?t speak the same language as you. Over all I think Japan is a great place to visit but living here isn?t that great IMO.

Yeah it?s just like any other major western country I?ve seen, but in comparison to the states it?s very densely populated, rarely in urban areas will you see much open room or glassy land. However, there are areas with grassy land but it?s normally farming land and most places don?t have big huge parking lots, they have buildings that you store your car in and you pay to have it stay there for how ever long you are gone.
Don?t get me going on about their cars though, their so funny, especially their names. Naked, largo, mile, rocky, ect. Quite funny.

haha, that's pretty cool. Ireland still wins, though.

I've always wanted to see Ireland and New Zealand.... Ireland for the culture, NZ for the scenery.

New Zealand is nice, very green.
And steamy if you go near Rotorua, although it does smell a little bit thanks to the copius amounds of sulphur in the air.

I sure wish I could see it. It'd be cool to have a coral reef at the base of a mountain at the ocean and at the top of the mountain have snow capped peaks. Oh well.
