I remember the nights I spent chillin wit Shawn & Dimi & Jerome & Garret (Ramsey) too
Learned a lot from them mo-fo's - got into tons of arguments with Shawn too

I'm still here, I check most posts (though there aren't too many anymore) and I rarely post, mainly for the same reasons Lydia posted before.

Haven't seen Jo in a long long time, /me waves. I think you may be talking about Joe/Down for the guy who's screename begins with tek (his MSN is like tekiou or something)

I seem to see Dimi and Joe over at TR42 more than I do over here now too.

At the minute I'm at university in Loughborough studying Computer Science & e-Business and right now I'm in my last week of the easter break and I'm procrastinating from doing coursework for two of my modules. I'm also working on a new design for DesignerPad.org and that's about it...

I love theroot. I post daily and visit probably more than I should, but it's my secret getaway from the usuall stressful life, so it's justifiable. It's FULL of great talent and it's the best place to network if you ever want a job in web field. On top of it all, new forum is almost done. It too was recoded into a custom forum, b/c Vb is horrific (yay for new invite system!).

Anyways, I remember Shawn hating on theroot, but in the end, it has more talen than most public forums and while it's still thriving, Neverside is going nowhere from where I can see.

BTW, my long posts are the result of procrastination. 20 page papers

Least you could do is get the story correct. I hated the 'elitest' mentality exhibited by it's users. To where if you weren't apart of their "cult" you were considered an inferior designer.

Luckily, those users have disappeared and I check in at TR42 every now and then, I just do not post. It's not a bad community however.
