Anyone else trying to lose weight?
I've recently started my serious weight-loss journey, taking little steps toward a different lifestyle. I try to exercise a little every day (some days more than others), eat less junk, eat more veggies, and just generally do what I'm supposed to do. I was wondering if anyone else is trying to change their lives for the better by losing those excess pounds?
I am currently keeping a weight-loss journal, which you can find here. Please don't tell me I'm the only one on the forum with this problem :P

I'm not really trying to lose weight, I'm just trying to eat healthier. I don't want to die in my thirties hehe. Although I have to admit, not being such a fatty would be a nice bonus.

Feenycks: that's my goal as well. But just eating healthier will do nothing without the exercise! That's why I'm stepping up to shed these 45 pounds hanging around me. Yuck.

I'm not overweight, but I'm not in the best shape. At 19, I should be pretty fit. Since I've been on campus, I've got on a workout routine with a friend. Our dream: Trying out and making Nebraska Cornhusker football. So we push ourselves to workout and do things hard. I watch my eating, limiting myself to how much and how often. I cut back on soda and on junk food( except the occasional bag of popcorn, chips, maybe some Skittles, etc.), but I do it in moderation. I workout my upperbody MWF and I run/play sports/cycle/row/ TR. Each day I do an abs routine to get my gut off.

I'm not trying to lose weight persay, but I do have a tiny bit of flab on my stomach that I'd like to lose. Other than that I'm pretty skinny.
For about six months though, I've been going to the gym at least three times a week and working out, so my muscles have grown significantly.

I'm on a preservative free diet. You'd be amazed what you can't eat when you give up preservatives. And I try to go for organics and I gave up meat again. I eat fish still, lots of soy, and I've lost 11 lbs in the past 2 1/2 weeks. I feel awesome, and I'm not craving junk food. I still have yummy stuff, like chocolate on occasion, lots of water, and delicious portobello sandwiches from panera.

Haha I wish I could gain 20 pounds. I am very serious about controlling what I eat and at what time. I have found that eating 6 little meals a day is a lot better for you than eating 3 big meals.
