I regret that I didn't get up earlier this morning to stand in line at Best Buy; by the time I got there the line was already 1500 people long, but the cold and wind was brutal. Needless to say I didn't even come close to getting one of the cheap laptops. Oh well.
EDIT - I had lemons and made lemonaide. My mom's a good sport. She ran to Staples and called me from there, I had her grab me a couple of Samsung 19" LCDs for $199 each after rebates. Not a bad deal.

Black Friday OVERRATED... I went to Fry's electronics at 5:30 this morning just to laugh at everyone there... I worked overnight last night at the TV station so I got off work at 5:00 (otherwise I wouldn't have gotten my *** out of bed that damn early). We had a live camera over at Best Buy to capture the madness here in Indy and those losers were sitting out there some say they were there at close of business the night before. PATHETIC...
I did stay up and shopped a little bit, but it was at Home Depot so I could get things for my new house... I saved oin a few things, but not as many were bustling about the home depot as there were any and all of the electronics stores... I almost got a Video iPod at Fry's, but they didn't have a black one and I hate the white one and the line to checkout was monsterous.
To stay somewhat on topic I don't regret being up this morning and deciding to people watch as people were speed walking all over the stores and the line to check out had to be about an hour and a half long. It looked like a line trying to get on a ride at an amusement park rather than a department store... very funny...

It's not overrated... Just overpopular... Great deals on electronic equipment is a big deal to many people, and as Blakc Friday becomes more and more popular, it becomes less and less useful and therefore overpopulated...
Pathetic? Try getting an xbox 360 at it's launch date. I had a friend who's dad, siste, and mother all bought one the day it came out, kept the 1 system, and are selling the other 2 on ebay. Last time I saw, the prices were over $1400 for each system.
It's not pathetic for consumers to get great deals on items, what's pathetic is these people who pay 2-3 times as much for something that they could have bought 2 months later for the regular price...
Back to the topic though, I try not to regret things, but it's hard. I try to look at each day as an opportunity to imrove upon myself, and others. So, while I do have regrets, I also realize there is something better and better every new day.
