This would be a lot easier to answer if I were out of high school. :P There are a lot of things I regret doing, but not many otherwise. I guess waiting too long to care about grades and such would be a good one.

There are things that I wish I would have done (more sex at a young age, I already started slightly young, but I was the "nice guy" and only did the women I knew well and had dated for a while). I wish I would have taken a few risks here and there that I decided not to do, but do I regret not making those decisions? Not one bit, because regardless I am still a happy person and enjoy life. ___________________ Neversidian Editor I heard once the people regret the things they didn't do more than the things they did. I learned from this statement because I look back on my regrets and it is all the things that I didn't do that keep me up at night. I hardly ever look back regret the things I did. ___________________ Being confident and not being lazy. ___________________
Haha, it's quite funny because this has seemed to come up a lot in my life just recently. And thinking about it, there's absolutely nothing I regret. Of course there's a few things I shouldn't or should have done, but regret is far too strong of a word for them and you know, without those little things maybe my life wouldn't have turned out so good right now. I'm just a generally happy person, haha. Feenix, we are probably the only two people that feel that way. Whenever this topic comes up with friends, they always have a laundry list... I have nothing. I enjoy my life. ___________________ Neversidian Editor I regret not spending enough time with my father. We weren't estranged by any stretch of the word but it's those certain little situations I wish I had handled separately. Like those times where he and my mom were going out to dinner or something and asked if I wanted to join. I wish I had taken them up on that instead of chosing to instead stay home and play counter strike or fiddle with 3dsm. I have plenty of fond memories with my father, but it's the ones I don't have that I regret. oh man batman, i feel the same way. cs is an addiction... i really wish i would spend more time with my family. now that it's the holidays, im limited as to what i can do because i work evenings and thats usually when everyone else is getting together... i cant just expect everyone to change their schedule for me, as that'd be selfish and impossible. but it was my decision to choose my schedule, and i can thank laziness and procrastination for not asking to change my schedule sooner... my parents are cool to be around, my mom on the occasion can be a nag, but still, i love my family more than work school, anything, so i feel extremely guilty and regretful any time im not able to show up because of something as stupid as work... almost makes me want to quit my job... ___________________
True, which is quite sad really. Wouldn't the world be such a happy place if everyone had no regrets? |
