I was working on a second version cause this version is not very user friendly [never meant to publish it] but I stopped cause of school :\
The progarm is more like the START bar on windows, can open files/directories/programs/urls but also have a remindering system.
My newer version was meant to have a phonebook system and a 'todolist' system but yeah, it was never accomplished.

By the way, I programmed it in Visual Basic.

visual basic is prolly the easiest of all the languages. Not very object oriented like java or c. Although its the only one i know. Im gona be learning Java soon.

I think openoffice is free and would do most things office does. Office is a rip off

OpenOffice is indeed free. And as the title might suggest to some, it is open-source. I'm a big fan of open-source projects and this is one of the best of them. I will however admit that it is perhaps slightly less user friendly than MSOffice. However, its well worth the time it takes to learn to use the problem to its full potiental.

Even though in all actuality, I doubt it would take more than 30-45 minutes to learn the program in full. And yes, it can do everything MSOffice can do.
