sort of freelance design site

Hey all I have recently redesigned my website to include a freelance design concept as I had thought that I would try to get some local work, but havent bothered lol. Web design isn't really my area and the site itself is still a work in progress as the portfolio page is full of bugs and wrong code. I havent had the opportunity to ask for C&C on the site and would like to ask you lot.

Its nice, I like the use of the pictures etc. It'd be good if you could click the banners on the right though (web design, photography series etc) because it seems like they're there to be clicked.. and you cant do it!

I have a link under the 3 images (Latest Graphic Design - ) etc. Which can be clicked. I have a problem that I make something look at for too long then dont like it. I created this to try and put a more professional look to my work. Going back to Uni next week so might just redo another site before I go back and make it just an aboutme/portfolio site with a little mention of some student/freelance work.

I think there should be a blue border on the right of the layout as well, not just the left.

Your "aged" photo doesn't match the color scheme.

I'm not too fond of your dotted seperator lines. They seem out of place.

It just feels like something should go above the top-left of the header since you have something in the top-right of the header... Or perhaps trash the stuff in the top right.

I don't like the > > you used to list things. Try some CSS controlled <li>'s instead

I like your header and intial color scheme though. It's a well laid layout as well.

Can I ask what resolution u were viewing the site at. As when I was designing the second site listed up there I forgot that my res is 1280x1024 and when I was creating the website and looked at it at 1024x768 it looked awful.

I was using 1024x768.

Im never freakin satisfied. I was looking at the site today again and I want to change it. I need some good inspiration for displaying the images within the portfolio page, both the thumbnail and larger sized images.

Another nother redesign! Same sort of layout but made it less busy! Also this is best viewed at 1280x1024 i really need to start working that out with the res b4 designing a site!
