Doom: The Movie

So what do you guys think? It hits theatres supposedly next month on the 21st I believe.

I already have one problem with it, simply the fact that there is 8-10min of 'FPS view' in the movie. Yes, that means it shows the 'gun' when they're moving around for like 8-10min. I'm told it's only that much anyways, if it's anymore, I'll be annoyed as I don't even like watching FPS videos.

The cast for it is pretty good, the guy who's playing Reaper is awesome (Karl Urban), he was one of the Commanders in Chronicles of Riddick, Eomer in LOTR:TT and LOTR:ROTK and the bad guy in Bourne Supremacy. The Rock is also in it as Sarge.

I personally want to see it, as not all game adaptations are bad.

I'll look into it. First I've heard of it. I need to get back into researching movies.

Trailer defiantly didn't deliver to what I was expecting. But I know I will see it, probably in theatres if my friends want to.

Eh, well, it doesn't have any of the plot elements. However the location is based off of Doom 3. The company is UAC and it's on Mars (of course). It's typical for storylines to be changed in game adaptions... Resident Evil for example is an excellent example as that doesn't really follow anything (who is Alice? No one).

Meh. I've never played Doom and never was a fan of it (I don't like FPS, except a few games like Metroid Prime). The trailer just doesn't intrigue me as much as Resident Evil did. I'm going to pass.

That FPS mode is going to get old fast. The movie looks alright though, might go see it.

i'm a big fan of doom game, they are awesome. But for the movie, i think i'll pass :\

two reasons

the rock is hot, doom is hot.

the freakin game scared the hell outa me, and htis looks pretty close.
