eh gtalk is light though..and with no ad's it would be a great IM program if only it were more popular. I don't care though I got a few of my friends to DL it so far. I think the program is only like 1-2mb as where yahoo and aim are like 12mb. it probably is good for most people but it really affects my labtop so google talk is great for me

what i dont like about it is gmail notifier and that both run at the same time.. like you either ALWAYS have to be on google talk when your computer is on, and turn off google notifier.. or be super notified when you recieve an email .. and you cant just double click on the email and have it open.. but it's not really about gmail so i guess it doesn't really matter

If you're using the quick reply box, when you've typed your message, just hit Preview and it'll take you to the full form and there is a field called Attach Files.

Or you could just hit the Post a Reply link and it'll take you to the full reply page.

I've heard of Trillian often, never heard of Gaim though... Same sort of thing?
Also, just wondering, what's considered "better" Trillian (basic) or Gaim?

Well, I used to use Trillian. The thing is is that you lose important features using Trillian or gAIM . I just never liked Trillian and went back to running AIM and YIM. Then I found gAIM and I usually run it. Sometimes I'll close it to run YIM when my chick friend gets on cam.
