Nevea Tears. It's different from the stuff I usually listen to, but it's slowly growing on me.

Probably the "newest" band I've gotten into is The Phenomnenauts. I saw them live in June, too. Good band; decent mosh pits.

I'm going to check out Neutral Milk Hotel; seems to be a fav. recent. :)
I don't really have a recently fav. discovered band myself, though.

More like rediscovered David Usher - http://www.davidusher.ca/. All his songs are amazing, but especially "My way out"
I think it's a song a lot of people can relate to...
Of course Matthew Good http://www.inacoma.ca/, whom I also rediscovered earlier this year, his new CD "In a Coma" comes out on the 20th, it's mostly a greatest hits album.

I downloaded some Neutral Milk Hotel the other day, but a lot of the songs have horrible sound. Any bass gets all distorted and make everything sound all nasty. I need to find some better recordings, I'm sure I would like them more.
Ive been getting into some acoustic mellow indie stuff recently. Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens and Nick Drake are all relatively new to me (within the last month or so).
Jack: you should listen to GY!BE's f#a#infinity if you havent already. It is very apocalyptic.
