Let me clarify. By "spam" I meant "promote". I don't intend to have all our members go to the DA forums and brag about how l337 NS is. I was suggesting that we promote the community with legal means, ie Advertising. It's a perfectly respectable business tactic.

Anyone caught spamming to come over here will be banned. People will find Neverside on their own & through word of mouth. Be respectable for what they are going through and try to either get involved with what they're doing, or ignore it. Simple as that.

And to be even more clear, I didn't even intend for users on NS to promote NS. I was thinking about NS as a company or organization actually paying for advertisements using DA's advertising system.

Neverside is a community, not a company nor organization.

Having visted the site often enough (although it only takes a quick glance) and having been banned from it, I think it's safe to say that there are enough members that it will last. Only the "elite" would withold their works of art, as the more amateur members would still make use of the DevArt medium.
My opinion? All the members are just having a hissy fit because something "big" has happened. It'll cool down eventually.

There's no way the community is just gonna 'die', they would owe people money wouldn't they? I mean, users pay for subscriptions/prints accounts and if the site just went offline, then the company would have to pay back wouldn't they? Or maybe not, 'cause maybe that's covered in the agreement. Either way, there are so many members on the community that it won't just fall like this. I'm confident that this won't have as much of an affect as people think it will. Of course I have been wrong before. That wasn't a good day for me, but maybe it'll be twice...
But if it does fall, remember there is still Shadowness that is growing and it has evolved into something much like DA, especially with the EX-3 release, it might become the next DA if it crashes, but I doubt it will.
