I expected more from modblog

I though the neverside.modblog.com would let us in on whats going on behind the scene. But, there has only been 2 entries, and the main site has been updated more since it was created. Any reason why this, what was supposed to give us all the little details that didn't deserve a post on the main site, has been somewhat abandoned?

Yeah, I was expecting more posts as well. Since you guys said it was for the sort of minor updates.

Blame it on the French Canadian. He needs to get his act together.

Agatio, be patient. Everyone has been working hard to put 1.2 together. The developers are voluntarily dedicating their own time to Neverside. Updates would be rather pointless and redundant on the ModBlog. Scott is finalizing the PM system, Noel is working on NeverNET, and Jeremie is finishing with the Studio. They are still working on the same projects. I don't see a reason to post the same thing on the development blog twice. The development process doesn't happen in a few days. Things take time. Most of the development team is finishing up with their current project(s) and moving on.

In fact, Jeremie made a news entry earlier this week about Neverside's current status. You can view it here - http://neverside.com/news/20/

Just sit tight and wait. I'm sure you'll be more than pleased this week. We have a lot in store.

People have been saying "sit tight" and "be patient", for the past 4 months, and all we really have to show for it is the forums being opened which we could have had without neverside.

What is the point of having a separate development blog if it isn't updated more often than the NS front page?

Agiato, if you don't feel like sitting tight, and being patient, then the community apologizes. If you don't feel that the people are are working fast enough, then too bad. They volunteer their own time on these projects, and regardless of any expectations you may have, they are going to work at their own pace. Perhaps if you were willing to pay them for what they are working on, then the deadlines that have been set would be met, and the projects would be completed on a more timely fashion. Otherwise, sit tight, and be patient, because that's the only option you have, other than to leave the community or stop being counter-productive.

The modblog has not been updated since most sections including mine 'haven't had much to update' you on lately. Does it mean that we're not getting things done as we should? No. It means that we have been doing what we have told you guys many times before and simply some/all of us have to realise that just because we know whats going on, some out here doesn't. I agree that some things could have been posted in the modblog, progress reports are always interesting. The devblog is here to stay and this wasn't the last time we got a chance to use it so it will be used. (even though it will be built in into neverside and not using modblog sooner or later)

However, those you surely are most excited to hear from has been working 100/60/60/24/7 lately to get everything done in time this time. If something must be better then having screenshots and progress updates, it must be to have the real thing in your hands.

I was sitting the other day, thinking along the paths of what you obviously thought about today. But then I figured that I didn't have anything to post that belongs in a devblog and forgot about that idea. It's an official devblog and should be treated like one, it might get more interesting to read in a while when it's purpose really kicks into gear. We're sorry that it hasn't been updated and we'll try to think about it.

I think it would be interesting to expand the idea into something where the developers of Neverside write about development topics, rather than just a secondary website to view the status of NS.
