Are you saying animals don't feel love?
Ashley: I don't think you get the picture - me "boinking" an old lady is against the law - I'm 14.
And how is the child molesting comment irrelevant? Who is to say they don't love eachother? If gays can love eachother, than why can't a man and a little girl? Or a woman and a small boy?
Would you care if I wanted to have sex with the dead?
There is a relationship between womens rights and divorce rates:
Womens rights went up, divorce rates went up - who's to say that the only reasons marriages in the past stayed together were because a woman was looked down upon if she was divorced?

pingu: I'm saying that animals cannot consent to marriage as they don't even know what marriage IS. Animals don't get married to each other, so why should they get married to humans? They can't consent, so it would be forced upon them. Your logic is moot, and highly fallible.
How can homosexuality even be close to compared to drugs? It can't, it's not even in the same ballpark. I'll ask the question again: since homosexuality is NOT illegal then why should homosexual MARRIAGE be illegal? I've yet to hear a compelling reason. I AM keeping an open mind, btw. So please, be reasonable. Try to come up with something that isn't so fallible. And also, please answer my question.

Lydia, I didn't answer your question because you forget that I am for gay marriage. That isn't what I'm arguing against you about.
The drug thing that was mentioned by someone else is called an analogy...

It really depends how "little" or "small" these children are. If they haven't even hit puberty, there's something seriously wrong there. Early to mid teens are a very grey area, so I would keep the law as it is (no sex or marriage until a certain age). Late teens are generally no problem. The kids have to grow up first to see if these adults truly love them, and they themselves need to know if they still feel the same way as they did when they were younger.
Children (especially younger ones) are far less capable of being equal to their "partner"; they're more likely to simply be controlled and used, and they take it, since they don't know otherwise (and haven't experienced anything else). People in general have to do some growing up before their body is capable of letting them know how they feel, and they just have to grow up overall in every aspect of life so they can make educated decisions.
