July 4th, 2005 10:54 PM Aren't those prev/next images very similar to the ones on the new kottke site? Anyway a nice clean design. Can't really find anything wrong and the images get the precidence they need. ___________________

Not a color scheme I would have thought would work, but it really gives a warm, casual feeling to this site, which definitely fits the content, which is awesome. My only complaint is the next/previous navigation seems sort of awkward to me. The fact that you can't see it until you hover over it is a pretty big usability issue, in my opinion. I had to 'explore' the page with my mouse to figure out how to navigate to different photos the first time I looked at the site. If you added some sort of visual hint that the navigation is actually ontop of the picture, it would probably help a lot. I always really like your designs and your choice of colors, you never fail to impress me.
