Background Music

For my website, I'm making a sort of splash page where it's a small clip that loops. There are buttons to get you from page to page et cetera. I want to add background music, but the problem is that it loops over and over as the clip loops and so it plays over the previous loop and it just sounds weird. I'm sorry if I am wording this wrong, it's hard to explain. Anyway, I want the clip to loop, but not the music, but I want the music to loop when it ends, just not loop over itself. Is there a way to do this? (I'll try to reexplain this if it doesn't make any sense). ^_^;

cant you put the music on another layer and then put

oops, that wont work, that would stop the music playing completely...
