What else have you heard?
For lots of great music to listen to check out http://mixes.cajones.org/ . Tons of stuff on there, old and new.

Sounds awesome. I've been meaning to attend more Electronic music events, but I don't know of too many going on in Kansas City (perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places...?). The only one I've gone to so far has been VNV Nation, at the Madrid. Fucking amazing. The opening act kicked ***, and VNV Nation itself dominated.
Sorry, I can't help you out on that one. The source of my events is the Toronto specific forum on the tranceaddict boards.

Check out "The Pixies". They're alittle bit experimental, but I think they fit nicely with your likes. Some people compare them to interpol. I personally love the pixies, and HATE interpol...

Oh yeah, Adam, as far as Godspeed is concerned, I have only heard two of their albums. Out of 'f# a# infinity', and 'Yanqui U.X.O', I find f# a# to be more interesting, as there are some bits with dialogue that sort of set the mood for the theme of the album (the apocalypse). Also, in f# a#, the climaxes of the songs are better somehow; they are more active, I guess.
Also, Jamie tells me the song 'Sleep' is amazing. I have yet to hear it, I don't remember which album it is from.

I have 'Where is My Mind?' by them (from the Fight Club OST) and Ghoti Hook's cover of it. I'll check some of their other stuff out...
