Why do people hate Microsoft?
Why? It seems like the cool thing to do online -- hate Microsoft. A lot of people say it's because Windows crashes all the time but it's never crashed on me ever.

It seems like the cool thing to do online -- hate Microsoft. A lot of people say it's because Windows crashes all the time but it's never crashed on me ever. Because MS does stupid things (like running macs instead of xbox 360's at E3), and alot of MS software is really buggy. REALLY buggy. Are you SURE you are using windows? Windows crashes / hangs alot for me.. Windows Suck I don't hate Microsoft, and I don't remember the last time Windows crashed on me. I use their Office software frequently, especially Word, and I don't think I've ever encountered any bugs... yet. The other software, asides from IE, I haven't tried yet, so I guess I can't say anything really. Maybe Microsoft just loves me. ___________________ omg Last edited by nimativ, May 24th, 2005 08:49 AM (Edited 1 times) Instead of constant complaining about Microsoft (because hell, all the cool kids do it), just stop using their products/services. If you don't like a certain brand of cerial, next time buy another one. I don't like most of microsoft's products, thats why I switched to OSX. And for those who can't afford new hardware try switching to linux, with a dual boot for those instances where you need MS because of compatibility. So vietnameze, you kinda answered your own question, it's just the cool thing to do, complaining without taking action. ___________________
Snap, their software has got better. Although I dont hate Microsoft for their software I dont like their methods, world domination in the computer market. Can't say I blame them though, if I was in their position I think I would do the same. Yeah, at least Windows XP is quite stable... I've had it running on this computer for three weeks straight, while using it and playing games and such, and it was still performing fine towards the end. Not a very good example, since I know people who have had it running for longer, but yeah. Of course, there are more stable operating systems, but try comparing XP to 98 and then saying Microsoft never improves their products. So yes, although Microsoft's products aren't exactly always the best ever, whining about them is just the cool thing to do. i dont like em because of IE and some previous version of windows like ME ___________________ "The only thing i hate about Sunday is that because tomorrow is Monday" Agatio, chill out for a moment. -- Saying that people have no reason to disslike a company like Microsoft is as ignorant as saying that everyone does. Many (I can agree on that) do it without really knowing why though. I think people disslike Microsoft (and other companys) either because of it's products or it's 'ways' as a company and their marketing. Now when people "grow up" next to people who have an anti-Microsoft atitude, it's hard not to catch on with it. People make negative arguments about Microsoft products like Internet Explorer on a daily basis. Add this to the fact that Microsoft have pulled of quite the impressive number or "smooth moves" through the last 10 years. Many stick to Windows (like me) simply because Linux feels to foreign and Mac's aren't the cheapest things in the world. (thinking about the fact that you need new versions of applications like Photoshop etc.) ___________________ Neversidian, your staff is broken.
