1. Have you ever used any recreational drugs and if yes, which ones?
Yes, Marijuana.

2. Do you smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol?
No cigarettes, but cigars sometimes, and yes to alcohol.

3. What in your opionion, makes legal drugs better or worse than illegal ones?
Legal drugs are thoroughly tested and controlled by the FDA (in the US). You know what is and isn't in the drug. Street drugs can be laced with things you don't want.

4. Do you feel the government has a right to tell us what we are allowed to put into your bodies or do you feel its their duty to protect us?
I do not believe the government should make things like drugs illegal, but in the end, drugs cause much more harm than good, so it is probably a good thing that they are.

5. How would you feel if the government outlawed fast-food restaurants to help with obesity?
What?

1. No

2. Rarely drink alcohol.

3. In theory, ends traffic, limits the access to those who actually know what they are doing (makes it harder for children to gain access to them), decreases crime rate (maily dealers and people who are desperate for money to buy overcharged drugs). Just to name a few.

4. The government should tell you the effects that a substance causes to your body and give you the right to decide wether you want to go ahead with it or not. You can't remove a person's right to choose, but you can give the information necessary for the person to make a choice that he/she thinks is better.

5. If fast-food restaurants were to be outlawed, then the entire system that we live in should be outlawed as well. Many people don't have enought time to eat at a nice restaurant during the lunch break, so a fast-food restaurant is the best alternative.
What should be outlawed is the amount of cholesterol contained in so many of these fast meals. One could have healthier fast-food restaurants and this would probably help with the obesity issue.

I don't really agree with this. If you're in a rush, stop by the grocery store, and pick up a sandwhich, a coke and whatever else you want for your lunch. It will be cheaper then eating at Micky D's, and much healthier. Sure, I eat at fast food places all the time, but I"m just saying, if you want to cut down on the junk, but have a limited schedule to eat, there are other alternatives. I'm sure there are some people who haven't stepped into a grocery store in a long time.

fast food is still way faster than that. You can get your food and be back on the road within like a minute. At a grocery store, you have to walk in from the parking lot, find what you want, then go wait in line to pay for it and go back to your car. If youre lucky, it will take about 5 minutes. For somebody who is really in a rush, they won't have time for that.

5. I'd love to see them try, actually. I predict insurgency of the obese army.

That wouldn't be a very effective Army.

1. Yes, Cannabis, Ex, Shrooms, LSD, and soon to be Salvia.

2. Yes, both

3. Nothing... majority of legal drugs -- like alchohol -- are worse than illegal ones on many levels. (See Marijuana vs. Alcohol)

4. No.

5. I would be pissed, mostly because that would be unconstitutional.

By the way... your title is mis-leading. Although it's rooted from a very funny movie, and has become a cleche, it's still wrong on so many levels. Some drugs are bad, like alchohol. Some are good, like penecilin, morphine (in small doses), and arguably cannabis.

Well, my title was sarcastic. I guess I'll answer my questions myself.

1. Yes. Weed, mushrooms, speed, ecstasy, cocaine, ketamine, opiates.

2. Yes, both

3. Well, I won't get into details, but I don't feel the legality of the drug shows any indication weather it is harmful or not. There are a lot of prescription drugs that are very harmful.

4. I mean, in a way, I feel they should take action. Meth for example is a big problem out west.

5. I'll get fat and die, if I want. And i'll do it however I want. I'm not fat though.. so meh. I still wouldn't agree with this at all though.

1.) No, never felt the urge to, I am someone who is always in control of almost any situation, I feel as if I would be giving up control under those conditions.

2.) I smoke a cigar with friends about 6-10 time per year. I do drink, but I have only been drunk twice (see reason #1 above why I haven't more than that). I also rarely drink enough to get buzzed. I usually drink 1-3 beers over a long night (3-4 hours) with friends.

3.) Illegal drugs (for the most part, there are exceptions...marijuana for example) are drugs that lead more towards people getting outside of the realm of hurting themselves and could equal harm to others. They are also those most likely to kill you over a quicker period of time. Marijuana is probably gouped into that realm based on it being a "Gateway drug"... that's the only reason I see it being in that category and not in the cigarette category.

Legal drugs (alcohol excluded) are drugs that can hurt you but it usually takes longer time to kill you then an Overdose of the illegal drugs. Alcohol included these legal drugs were widely excepted and widely bought for a long time so money exchanged hands so the government would not shut down the industry. Prohibition brought major underground sales of alcohol and finally the majority ruled and alcohol was brought back into society.

4.) Yes for the exact same reasons NEO stated (I too live in Indiana and was going to give not that exact example, although I work in news and we covered it a lot, but just the reason in general).

5.) They would have to do more than outlaw fast food to make this society skinny again. They would need to outlaw jobs that force you to stay at a desk a lot, the washing machine, tv, video games, computers, automobiles, etc. So this is irrelevant. The government should force them to help inform you of their contents, but other than that, it is up to you to watch your own eating habits.
