Guild Wars
http://www.guildwars.com/
The last Beta Weekend Event is over tonight around midnight, so I thought I'd ask if anyone else at Neverside has played or preordered to play Guild Wars when it launches (April 27th for us preorderers).
For those who haven't heard about Guild Wars, some key features:
Instanced Maps (When you go to a quest or an exploration-type map, the only people there are NPCs, mobs, and those in your party)
No monthly fee
PvP Based Quests
Attribute Refunding (So you can change what attributes you assign points to down the road)
No different servers, just choose the server closest to your locale (such as America, or Europe) and play with everyone at that locale, or if you want to play with someone from a different locale, simply go to the International District and meet up there.
If you have any questions, as well, just ask away and I can probably answer them.

Hmm.. I've heard loads of good things about it but I doubt it'll run on my computer, do you know what specs are needed to run it?

I preordered it a while back, so I'm looking forward to picking it up when it comes out. I love the starting out areas/quests they added in for this weekend event. It really makes the game feel much more finished.
I have been playing World of Warcraft since it came out, and while I will still continue to play, Guild Wars will be a nice alternative if I want to just jump into the game and play a few quick rounds of the PvP. I also love the fact that you can change your skill points around as much as you want, so you are never locked into a specific build. If you need to switch your focus up for a certain fight, its no problem at all.
Also, since I assume you played in the beta events, were you a part of [lljk]?
And win- if you get the chance to try it again, I would really recommend you do. I had fun in the first few beta events, but the game seemed really unfinished at the time (it was still in alpha, so go figure), but they fixed a lot of stuff up and it feels a lot more poished now.

I didn't play with LLJK, since there's quite a few kids at my school who have preordered that we're probably going to play together. If that falls through I'll probably join LLJK or at least team up with some other goons.

I have been following Guild Wars for quite along time now, have had it preordered for months too (Will be making a Guild). I find I like the Guild Wars pvp way better then World of Warcrafts pvp. And that tournament pvp is really fun to play in... although finding a good party can be kinda hard.
So whats everyone playing as? Im going to be a E/Mo (Elementalist / Monk )

Yeah, I don't see myself participating in the WoW PvP once Guild Wars comes out. it just seems like it is so much more refined.
I will probably be playing mostly as a Mo/R. I played as a monk in the last weekend event, and it was a lot of fun. If you play as a Monk primary, you get party invites almost immediately in the PvP lobbys.

I was considering to get Guild Wars, I tested some of the betas months ago, and it looked more interesting than WoW, and there's no monthly rate
