I think im going to be sick...I think im going to be sick...Currently viewing this thread: 1 (0 members and 1 guests) rofl. That is awesome. But that's not to say that I'm too naive to admit that there are cases where video games can make people more violent. No, I'm not saying it will make you run outside and shoot people, but what I am saying is that for some people, video games would have an effect that would give them a 'shorter fuse' so to say, or perhaps will make their reactions to cicrumstances more violent then those who don't play such games. Don't get me wrong, I played GTA3 and Vice City from beginning to end basically, and I love 'em. What I'm talking about is more like 'Postal 2: Apocalypse Weekend'. That game goes too far. It is disgusting. I have never played it, but I've seen it, and I was honestly discusted. The only thing I remember about it was observing someone kill a police officer by dowsing him in gasoline, lighting him on fire and then pissing on the corpse after he burned to death. . .disgusting is far too much of an understatement. ___________________ That site is a fluke. ___________________ "There is no such thing as a Stupid Question, JUST STUPID PEOPLE" i think i should start a coalition of my own: the national coalition for gaming mothers ___________________ Video games may make some people more violent, but so may any other interaction with violent content, from TV, movies, books, real life, ect. It all depends on the person on how'll these interactions will ultiately affect them. They just target video games becuase of their child appeal, though gaming is as shared by all as movies are. punks ___________________ On the site: "Danger: Do video games teach people how to kill? If you need to play video games to know how to kill someone using a gun, you're probably too mentally retarded to be able to figure out how to shoot one in the first place. I don't think there is much danger of kids "learning" new ways to kill people that are at all applicable to real life. When a kid goes crazy in the real world, he goes to class with a gun and shoots people at close range in a closed space, something that a total moron could figure out. If you can aim a gun and pull a trigger, you are already well-prepared to kill people, without playing games. And, video games don't turn the kids into nut jobs. It is just a coincidence when they find that the kids who go on killing sprees play violent games--99% of teens do, as far as I know. If you're totally ape-****, you'll probably snap and shoot someone regardless of whether or not you picked up a few useless techniques from playing video games. I hope some nutjob kid takes aim at the biatches behind this site. It is true though that some kids who are into MMORPG's, etc., are wierd losers, but who cares? Most of them would be socially inept even if they didn't play lame games. They're losers, who cares? And it is also true that playing too many video games and not doing your homework will get you bad grades--obviously! Then again, you could be whacking off or playing chess and still get bad grades if you don't do your work. It is a problem with time management and personal responsibility, quit blaming videogames you worthless piles of crap! ___________________ Whatever you do, don't click here!
