Divs are a LOT more frustrating and take some getting used to. Just my opinion, but they are more efficient in the long run.

Dude, in dreamweaver divs are great. They are really easy to use and you can position them anywhere you want.

div > table for layouts
and it's faster to do it with divs, the job you can get done with divs in 1 hour, you get it done with tables around 3 hours.

This also depends though, on how the div's are used. Someone who understands the proper AND improper usage of div's and can reasonably work around any problems will have a much easier time with div's than with tables. Tables can be cumbersome(SP).
You have to realize though alot of people just switching to div's from tables don't quite understand the proper usage. I don't even think I do sometimes, but if you have been using a table cell for a header and extra markup on the elements within the cell.
Then one day you decide you want to use divs so you make a header div and then the first thing I usually see is people use a div for every item in the header within the main header div...
Noone explains the problems with that and then everyone is so proud they have discarded their table layout for a div layout but in the end, you end up with three times as much code because the anti table coders arent explaining properly how to make a tableless layout.
You throw out comments like div's are easier to work with than tables to a n00b and then you find a page with 6 main layout divs and 50 subdiv's for every element on the page...
Which is the reason why tables are still around round...
I'd say 50% of all the "leet" coders feel they are beyond explaining and teaching and would rather ***** and moan about something and then get all frustrated when the n00bs dont catch on right away...
Which is why I always stres to people making the argument betwen tables and divs thatif you have enough passion to dis tables the way you do then have the decency to explain that divs are not css and divs do not replace table cells and shouldnt be used as moveable cells wrapped around every object on the page...
end rant:D
time for work
p.s. sorry, it just came out
