I agree with whoever said the snow looks fake/bad. Snow can have a very light blue tint to it as well.

The top part of the header image needs work. The left side should be flush like the right side.

I like the font on the header, but the smaller sized text below it isn't easily readable. Try putting a rectangular block black backdrop (say that 3x fast) with low opacity to make it stand out more.

I've never seen the previous design, but I'm not sure there's anything here to necessarily write home about.
