There is this guy in the mall close to my house who hangs out in the lunch-area thing and does them in like sub-3 minutes. He throws it in the air and everything... I think you can probably solve it just by repeating a pattern over and over, but I'm not sure.

This guy at my school can just pick one up and do it in a matter of minutes, but his best time was like just over a minute or something, it's crazy **** man, craaaazy ****....

Mathematically, you can solve a rubik's cube in any combination with just 24 turns. I believe the world record is 52 though.

um.. they have a video on ebaumsworld of a guy doing it with one hand, in a matter of minutes/seconds.

I think he ment the number of times you move it. Not a mater of time.

I have a video on my computer of a guy solving it in 17 seconds
The clip is 20 seconds long - he looks at the thing for 3 seconds and then *BAMMO* he's just a blur

yea, i've seen videos like that, i think some people claim to have solved them in like 12 seconds but i think the official world record is 17. you'll also notice in videos like that that the cubes are really worn out, thats what mine looks like... i have trouble distinguishing between white and yellow in anything but high light.

I can solve them with one hand. it isnt a puzzle, its simply looking at the colors and using one of 5(I think) different solutions. until its solved.
