I think this is one of those things where you'd have to note pro's and con's in a table and every individual would need to decide his need and pick the one he prefers...
Of course then you'd publish that on a webpage so you can style the table with css, using a XHTML 1.1 doctype

yeah, it's quite as easy in php. Php also has $_REQUEST and $_GET, which are very handy too...

even so i would use coldfusion over php but only because i know coldfusion better than i do php, the pitfall is finding hosting for coldfusion :/
