sorry I didn't study the handbook :grumpy , I always used valign on <td tags, before I started with xhtml, and it always worked fine... ___________________ Last edited by MinDFreeZ, November 12th, 2004 05:26 PM (Edited 1 times) Thanks for the help guys, but I'm afraid none of the methods you showed me are working. I wonder why. ___________________ Natural_CauseStatus: Offline!
i learnt html from HTMLGooddies.com :S and they taught me to use font tag and iframes and so on. when i did digital media i didn;t learn html i only learnt css, javascript, actionscript, php. never html. and anyway i would have though knowing a majority of the people here know what xhtml is i would have though they would know what is and isn;t in xhtml. i guess there are some little bits people have missed demonknight - can you please post your code or attach it or give a link so we can atleast look at it and give you a better answer to what is going wrong ___________________

it defeats the purpose is it going html 3, html 4, xhtml sorry freak ill take w3schools word for it been version 5. xml is completely different to html so its inrelievent to html/xhtml. ___________________
Actually, XHTML is closer to XML than it is to HTML, w3schools is overrated, and HTML 4.01 is still a web standard. XHTML is based on XML, HTML is based on SGML - two completely different technologies, so to say. ___________________ Natural_CauseStatus: Offline!
its not the artical i read where they stated it being, version 5. but its close enough http://www.w3schools.com/xhtml/xhtml_intro.asp ___________________
