How many different answers are there for whats up/sup?

Space...

What else can you guys/gals think of?

I always report the current weather when people ask that. I used to have a tendancy to actually tell people how I was doing, but it's obvious no one really cares so I wonder why it's so often asked,

I always say, "The ceiling." just to annoy them.

I hate the whole pre-conversation ritual, per-say. It has come to mean nothing. Nowadays it's just like a greeting. Nobody actually cares how you are, it's just something they were taught to ask.
