Diagonal strokes
Hi there, i have a question
What is the most efficient way for making those diagonal strokes.
like on this link I mean the orange part. i did some experimenting with illustrator, but the diagonal lines aren't exact enough.
I hope someone has a technic for this.
Thanx in Advance.

Hi there, Thakur
Thanx for your reply, i already used the "scanline" tutorials. The lines they create are much to thin for the result i want. Actually i'm searchin for a efficient way to draw or duplicate the diagonal strokes like in the link i posted before.
In de tut you suggested. I tried to make the line thicker, but it turns up blurry and messy.
Anyway thanx.

Its simple. Draw a diagonal line with the pen tool. Set the stroke weight. Alt+Click and drag to duplicate it. CTRL+D to keep duplicating. Set the color to your liking.

Hi Davis
Thanx for you reply, i understand your technique but how do you make a pattern from it to fill a box shape or something. I tried to use the pattern swatches in illustrator. but when i move the filled box shape the pattern fill won't move with it.
Thanx in advance

Honestly.. Getting the stripes is easy enough that its probably not worth the time to make a pattern. To me at least.

Try looking under the object > transform > scale menu. The box should be checked that says scale stroke and effects.
Also, make sure you are selecting the whole object when you go to move it. The easiest way is to use the selection tool and draw a box around your object.
