I know... is it very obvious though, or would you have to be looking for it? Because I want the accessibility that none of the image replacement solutions have, and I don't want to add extra meaningless spans.

well... which image replacement would you use in this situation? I don't want to sacrifice accessibility, so I guess it'd be one of the ones that add an extra span....
