Sector 7 vSomething
Hi, usually I am giving out advice in this forum - all 50 posts are in here, heh. Anyway, I have been working on vSomething (really v2, or something, don't really remember) of my Halo fansite - Sector 7 Halo.
I am still working very hard to make new content for Halo 2 (30 days!) as well as unleash this sweet layout. But before I do that, I need some opinions.
So please, check out my progress here, and feel free to comment. I really appreciate it.

It's got a nice look to it, but you might wanna check it out in FireFox (As its becoming more and more popular nowadays)
For one, the bit with "News|*date*" on it, doesnt line up with the box under it, and the countdown thing ya got goin' doesnt even show up at all
I love the main banner though, that looks really really nice imo.
It looks good in IE, it just falls when it comes to compatability with other browsers.

I think you clicked the wrong link. Click here. If you didn't... I don't know what you mean.

I did ^^; Sorry.
*reviews the right one* Hah.
It's actually a hell of an improvement. I love the colours and the minimilistic feel it gives to the person using it.
The link text is a tad small, compared to everything else. It looks tiny on my res, and for a vital part of the layout, that should be bigger imo.
Basically, it looks great.
The only think I'd suggest, apart from the links, is maybe making that guy in the banner.. You know how Halo has like 2 teams? (I dont know if its like that with Halo 2) - Like.. Making that randomly switch between the 2 colours of the people in different poses?
Obviously, just a suggestion, I think the site looks great anyway ^^;

Yeah, the sub-link text is tiny, even on 1024 x 768. anyways, good suggestion by fairclough. looks very nice, very clean and uncluttered.

Looks cool, I don't know if you wanted me to see this though as I am a member at your forums and a frequent visitor to the site. Looks good though, for some reason it seams harder to focus on the content though then the version that's up right now.

Mustn't tell anyone! Thanks guys. I will work on fixing up the font sizes and stuff (still learning how to properly measure that stuff).

Yes, very nice indeed.
But as it is so simplistic (and that i love) it feels more like an blog than an online community right now.
If you maybe would add some more gfx to the layout, it will feel more like a community, but heck, thats just what i think :P
well, i wish you good luck with it!
