bad edges of a boolean result
http://danielgreeney.com/images/TF/3d_badEdges.gif
Software: discreet 3Dsm v6
I am making a horseshoe and I created this curved crescent object and then booleaned it against the main shorseshoe shape. I had duplicated the crescent that would "carve out" the indention in the horseshoe.
One side left a good edge cound I think, but the other the edges all go to only a few vertexes which I can't help but think is bad. How can I make these edges line up right straight across.
I have tried "TURN" edge, but it's unpredictable where it will turn the edge to.
Help please!
Thanks.

dont use boolean.. its very random thing. learn to model by hand.

No it's not, you just have to learn how to model properly is all. Boolean is never a random thing. Where did you ever get this from?

ok dude from ****ing years of modelling.. dont use boolean its based on formulas.. just make a double edge and extrude downwards..

booleans only work well when its used with nurbs modelling, and dont even try modelling with that in 3dsmax. if you use maya or some other programs, boolean will actually be a good choice.
