Starting out...

Whats a good image so start out trying vectors with? I tried someone playing basketball, but it seemed a bit complex. Any help?

And also, I've never used the Pen Tool before, so any tuts on that would help too. I have Illustrator.

Dont use any images to start out with. Get familiar with the tools alone. Just start drawing stuff and getting a feel for them.

As Davis says, don't jump in too deep, you'll get there. There are a pile of tutorials posted in their own 'stickied' section. Get used to the tools by trying some of those.

The pen tool will suck for like a couple weeks. Then You will get it.
