3ds Max 5 Bible vs 3ds Max 6 Bible
Here's the situation. I have 3d Studio Max 6, and I was looking into getting a book, but the 3ds max 6 Bible is really expensive. However, the 3ds max 5 Bible is on sale for $15 at a local London Drugs.
What do you guys think? Would it make sense to get the v5 book even though I have v6? Or are the differences minimal?
Any help is appreciated.

I think that $15 is a great price for the book. V6 isn't a completely new program, there are many similarities between v5 and v6, so I would suggest you to buy the book and learn at least part of the program. Plus, the new features in v6 might even be available on the tutorials that come with 3dsmax, so you are in quite a good spot actually.
Buying books for the same version that you own is good only if you are looking forward to using the new features, if not, the basics are usually kept the same (that goes for 3d, 2d, web, etc.).

Yeah, you guys are definitely right. I mean it's only $15 anyhow, so it will be worth it for sure, since a lot of it will still be applicible. Thanks for the help
